Celebrating 25 Years of Dance, Growth, and Ohana
Since opening our doors in 2001, Gainesville Dance Center has grown into a welcoming home for dancers and families throughout Northern Virginia. With studios in Gainesville and Haymarket, generations of students have discovered their passion for dance, developed confidence, taken the stage, and created lifelong memories.
At GDC, we are more than a dance studio - we are an Ohana. Every dancer is seen, supported, and celebrated for who they are, both on and off the dance floor. Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where students can build strong technique, discipline, creativity, and a lasting love of dance.
We offer recreational and competitive dance classes for children and teens, along with meaningful performance opportunities that allow every dancer to grow and shine. Over the years, families have become part of our community, friendships have developed into lifelong bonds, and dancers have carried the lessons learned at GDC far beyond the studio.
We are incredibly proud of the community we have built and grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey. Here’s to 25 seasons - and many more to come.

Our Teachers
Experienced Teachers, Positive Training
Our trained and professional teaching staff brings extensive experience working with both recreational and competitive dancers. Through high-quality dance classes in Northern Virginia, our instructors help students develop strong technique, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for dance.
GDC offers kids’ dance classes at our Gainesville and Haymarket, Virginia studios in a safe, positive, and encouraging environment where kindness comes first. Every dancer is supported as an individual and challenged in ways that align with their age, experience, and personal goals.
In addition to weekly training, students can participate in meaningful dance performance opportunities throughout the season. From recreational dancers taking the stage to competitive company members pursuing advanced training, GDC provides opportunities for every student to learn, grow, and shine.

At GDC, our dance classes in Northern Virginia help students develop more than strong technique. Through consistent training, teamwork, and performance, dancers build self-discipline, confidence, responsibility, independence, respect, and a meaningful sense of community.
Our Gainesville and Haymarket dance studios provide children and teens with a positive, supportive place to grow as both dancers and individuals. Students can explore recreational and competitive training while participating in exciting dance performance opportunities throughout the season.
