Dear Parents and Students;

Welcome to Gainesville Dance Center! We are so excited to be celebrating our “12” year anniversary! Our dance program is designed for the recreational as well as competitive, serious student. Our goal is to introduce the “LOVE” of dance, and to take a student to their highest goals with lots of encouragement and “GREAT SELF-ESTEEM” motivation! G.D.C. believes that a student should leave his or her class each week with a strong sense of accomplishment. If instruction takes place in a nurturing environment, the discipline and commitment to be one’s “self”, which is learned in dance, can remain with a student for a lifetime.

Our professional staff of instructors are accredited with International and American Associations such as Checchetti Council of America, Royal Academy of Dance, Dance Masters of America, Dance Educators of America and Professional Dance Teachers Association. We also feature “Special Guest” Master Classes throughout the season which is always a pleasant surprise to all area dancers!

Director Patricia Bray is proud to feature “THE G.D.C. COMPETITION DANCE COMPANY” and “THE G.D.C. COMPETITION POM TEAMS” for the more competitive, serious dancers and Pom students who love to perform! “THE G.D.C.” Dance Company & Poms offers opportunities for the more experienced students to be involved in CONVENTIONS, SHOWS, PARADES, AND COMPETITIONS! Competition members are selected through class audition, instructor’s recommendation, and/or director invitation only. Guidelines and regulations for the more serious students are available through the director only.

PLACEMENT: The artistic faculty of Gainesville Dance Center places children, teens, and adults in classes appropriate to each individual’s level of ability and strength. Class placement is determined by the age of the student and the number of years in training the student has acquired. Students with experience are requested to try several classes before being placed. Students are continuously monitored and moved into higher levels as the student’s progress permits.

We are looking forward to working with each and every student, and welcome you to our studio’s. This will be a fantastic year full of fun and exciting dance activities!
